Roberts Tate is proud to announce the expansion of the firm to include an insurance coverage practice and the addition of Partner Jason O’Brien and Partner Marc Rindner who join Parker Lavin in the Insurance Practice Group. Parker, Jason and Marc come to Roberts Tate from the preeminent K-street firm of Wiley Rein, LLP in Washington, D.C and have a combined 45+ years of practice. Jason and Marc will work out of the firm’s new Maryland office.
Marc represents insurers in coverage litigation in federal and state courts across the country, including litigation involving allegations of bad faith, issues regarding liability coverage and assists insurance carriers with developing policies that provide first and third party coverage for businesses in areas such as banking, health, media and technology. Marc is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Ninth and District of Columbia Circuits as well as the U.S. District Courts for the District of Colorado, District of Columbia, District of Maryland and Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Jason specializes in first-party and third-party insurance claims involving cyber-related incidents. He also serves as coverage and monitoring counsel in connection with claims arising under various types of professional and general liability policies. Jason is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
As part of Roberts Tate’s insurance defense practice, Parker, Jason and Marc are joined by Associate Kendall Shortway. Kendall’s practice focuses on first-party and third-party liability insurance coverage issues. Kendall is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Georgia, Florida and the United States’ Virgin Islands.
