Lena has more than thirteen years’ experience practicing in the areas of insurance coverage, complex civil, and commercial litigation. She counsels insurers on a broad range of first and third-party exposures, including cyber exposures such as computer network security breaches, data loss, and business interruption. Lena also counsels clients on matters involving professional liability coverages, such as directors and officers liability and lawyers liability. Additionally, she has substantial experience representing insurers in matters involving commercial general liability, excess/umbrella, and life insurance. Lena represents insurers in coverage litigation in state and federal courts across the country, including claims involving extra-contractual liability and bad faith disputes. Her experience also includes representing clients in diverse civil and commercial litigation matters, such as breach of contract, business torts, and deceptive and unfair trade practices claims, as well as appellate matters.
Prior to joining Roberts Tate, Lena practiced at Rumberger Kirk in Orlando, Florida, where she handled complex civil, commercial, and insurance coverage litigation matters. She began her legal career at Wiley Rein, LLP, in Washington, DC, where she practiced in the firm’s insurance coverage group.
